"If all the seas were one sea..."

November 9, 2017

If all the seas were one sea,
What a
great sea that would be!
If all the trees were one tree,
What a
great tree that would be!
If all the axes were one axe,
What a
great axe that would be!
If all the men were one man,
What a
great man he would be!
And if the
great man took the great axe,
And cut down the
great tree,
And let it fall into the
great sea,
What a
great splash-splash that would be!

Did you know that the Edison Estate in Fort Myers lost the great banyan tree in one of the storms this year?

Here is what we have been doing the last couple of weeks.

  1. Osprey, October 17, 2017- November 2, 2017--Work!
  2. October 2, 2017 Georgetown rafting with Jack and Patty. Finally on our way to Savanah
  3. Dewees Creek to anchor lost the starboard engine as we entered the creek.
  4. Waited two lovely sunny days at anchor waiting for two slips in Charleston. Jack and Patty will stay with us while we wait for the gasket to be replaced on the engine.
  5. Here we sit.  This is not our favorite marina but a van will take us downtown and come pick us up, I can walk to town and back with lots of walking in between.

Having lunch with Rick and Val on their 78' boat to set sail on November 8th for Fort Pierce

You know who this is

Nice friends, nice boat we hope to meet up with Val and Rick in Fort Pierce

Eating at Socastee Station with folks traveling for a short time with Jack and Patty

This is what it looks like when 6 people travel in a 5 passenger truck, oh those teen years

I needed new sunglasses so here is the story.  I was in line at War-Mart buying sunglasses and this gentleman said he wanted to buy them for me.  He had been without money at the store once and someone paid for his $60.00. The perfect glasses.

Enjoying friends

We left Myrtle Beach for Georgetown, SC spent the night rafting with Jack and Patty and had happy hour with Mary and Scott. Their boat is Mascot, which I think is so clever.

Before leaving Georgetown I found my animal fix walking along the street.
Just a cute mutt

Tess Trueheart at the Rice Museum in Georgetown. I make sure I visit her every time we are there.

An 8 year old dog rescued as a puppy after someone found several puppies tossed in a dumpster. She
loves her master.

From Georgetown we traveled to Dewees Creek for two nights until there were two slips available at the The Harborage at Ashley Marina, an unscheduled stop.
